Hello kind visitor. I’m Julia, a visual artist based in Bonn, Germany, and I’m sick of it all.
I’m sick of everything having to grab attention in the first three seconds. I’m sick of ragebait and black-and-white thinking. I’m sick of artists being expected to stick to one mode of expression, to curate themselves and their work to appeal to one specific audience, and yet also express a universal truth and remain “authentic”. You can’t be authentic while following trends, as superficiality is the antithesis of authenticity. You’re still reading this? That’s a good sign you might also like my work.
